Fremont resident, Deborah "Debbie" Louise (Young) Sherman, 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Elmwood Assisted Living, Fremont with her family by her side. Born on June 22, 1942 in Fremont, Deborah was a daughter of Harold P. and Luella (Bork) Young. She graduated from Ross High School in 1960. Debbie was raised in and worked at the family business of Young's Mobile Homes and Trailer Parks. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker thru the years. She loved to cook, bake, knit, and crochet. Debbie formerly belonged to the Ohio Nomads RV Club. On December 16, 1967, she married Francis E. Sherman. They were married for 47 years; he survives. She is also survived by children, Tadd (Dawn) Sherman of Oak Harbor, Joel (Ruthie) Sherman of Gibsonburg, and LuElyne Sherman of Fremont; step-children, Eugene (Marilyn) Sherman, Richard "Rick" (Donna) Sherman, and Lisa (Scott) Oestreich; 9 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; and brother, David (Cindy) Young of Marblehead. She is preceded in death by her parents. The family would like to give everyone who helped care for Debbie their greatest gratitude. Their devotion was deeply appreciated. A Memorial Service will begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont, where family will welcome friends beginning at 4 p.m. Dennis Bork will be officiating. Burial will take place privately at Dana Cemetery, Fremont.
