Roberta Tolento, 86, formerly of rural Fremont, departed peacefully to be reunited with her longtime sweetheart on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 with family by her side. Born Roberta Garcia Muzquiz on June 8, 1928, in Lorain, she was the daughter of Roberto and Irene Muzquiz (Colon) Garcia. On June 27, 1946 at St. Ladis Laus Church in Lorain, she married Ernest Tolento. He preceded her in death on July 28, 2013. Roberta attended Whittier Public School in Lorain. She was an interpreter and aide for Old Fort Schools, and also a homemaker. She was a member of Sandusky County Master Gardeners. She was awarded Best of Show for her crocheting and received many other awards for her sewing entries at the Sandusky County and Seneca County Fairs. Roberta will also be remembered for her machine embroidery, cooking, and enjoyment of music and dancing. Roberta is survived by daughters, Cynthia Colombo of Estacada, OR., Cecelia Chaney of Salem, OR., and Esther Young of Tiffin; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph T. (Norma) Muzquiz of Lorain; and sisters, MaryAnn (Earl) Brown of Duncan, SC and Janette (Dave) Davis of Vermillion. She is also preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 16th from 4:30-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 17th at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Burial will be held 2:45 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery, 555 N. Ridge Rd., Lorain, OH 44066.
