Inge Wells of Fremont, age 74, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky. She was born Inge Michelsen in Odense, Denmark on March 29, 1941 to Peter and Dagny (Poulsen) Michelsen. Always with a quick smile and kind word, she was a strong and independent woman with a sense of adventure who wanted nothing more than to travel the world. After graduation, she went on to live in Germany for a year before finally immigrating to Racine, WI in 1963. While on vacation in Hawaii in 1965, she met a navy sailor; the love of her life and future husband. They returned to Hawaii two years later and were married in Honolulu on February 21, 1967. She was a devoted Navy wife and mother; she would follow him for the next twenty seven years making every duty station, no matter the circumstances, the perfect home. They would eventually settle down in Fremont in 1999, make a new home and enjoy the retired life. She loved her crossword puzzles, watching old movies, and would gladly tell you a story about living overseas in Italy and Great Britain, her trips to Greece and Egypt, or the family vacation to Morocco. She will be sadly missed by her husband Ron, daughters Ingrid and Annelise, and her grandchildren Ashley, Zachary, Drake, and Jadyn. Always giving and selfless, she would tell us now, "I've had a good life, carry on with yours. I am at peace." A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me. Remember the best of times, the laughter, the song. The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest; Remembering all, how I was truly blessed. Continue tradition, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don't worry about falls. I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin, Until the days we're together again."
