Marshall Hill

January 23, 1947 — April 28, 2015

Former rural Helena resident, Marshall M. Hill, 68, of Gibsonburg died Tuesday, Apr. 28, 2015 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. Born on Jan. 23, 1947, Marshall was the only child of Merle and Carrie (Peck) Hill. He graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1965 and enlisted in the Navy, serving during peacetime. On May 3, 1969, he married Nancy Jacops in Woodville, OH. Nancy passed on July 4, 2013. Marshall attended welding courses at Terra Community College, worked at Chrysler, Younker Painting & Sandblasting and retired from Reino's Cleaners in Gibsonburg in 2009. He was a long time volunteer with the Helena Community Volunteer Fire Department, enjoyed bowling in the various area leagues, was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan, and loved coaching and supporting his children and grandchildren in their participation at the county fair and sporting events. Surviving are his children, Bryon (Tammie) of Gibsonburg, Janna (Wade) Seaman of Lima and Cody (Alexandra) of Fremont; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Nancy. A Time of Sharing and Remembrance will be offered Sunday, May 3, 2015, 1-5 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Memorials may be made to the care of his family.
