Alvina Jean Fryman Krotzer, age 87, of Gibsonburg, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015 surrounded by her loving family to join the rest of her family waiting for her in heaven. First born child to Ervin (Butch) and Ida DeVries Fryman in Toledo on April 24, 1928. Wayne Krotzer Jr. and Alvina were united in marriage on May 10, 1948 which was the same day her parents were wed. Wayne preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 1987 after almost 40 years of marriage. To this union, they were blessed with 6 sons. Dale (deceased) wife Lupe of Lima, Thomas wife Julie (deceased) of Bettsville, Dave, PFC Lynn (deceased), Leslie of Gibsonburg, Keith wife Cathy of Helena, and Kristopher (deceased). She was also blessed with 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Her siblings Ervin Fryman (deceased), Shirlene Gautney (deceased), Dennis Fryman of Toledo, Sally McFarland of Oak Grove, Thomas Fryman of Toledo, and Fryman of Genoa. She was most proud of when her son, Lynn, went to fight for our county in Vietnam as a Marine. Off and on for 25 years, Alvina waited on customers at Gail's Party Shop in Gibsonburg. All of her jobs in her life dealt with customer service because she enjoyed working with people. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Her passion in life was watching her children and grandchildren participate in sports. Her hobbies included crocheting, reading, puzzles, and playing bunco and cards. Her lively bunco group played for over 30 years. Alvina was a member of the Eagles Unit 712, Secretary and past Presidents of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary, charter member of the Gibsonburg Volunteer Fire Dept., and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Family and friends will be welcomed on Thursday, May 28, 2015, 2-4p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Funeral services will be Friday, May 29, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Max Ulderich officiating. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to the Police and Fireman Public Service Memorial.
