Fremont resident, Ruth Ann Biggs, 85, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015 at Elmwood at the Springs, Green Springs, OH. Born on December 2, 1929 to Herbert C. Lewis and Ina R. (Spung) Lewis in Malta, OH, Ann graduated high school in Coshocton, OH and served her country during the Korean Conflict as part of the Women's Auxiliary Corp. in the US Army. Ann was a member of the Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church of Fremont and will be remembered for her love of her family, animals and enjoying the outdoors and fishing. For years she drove bus for Fremont City Schools and WSOS. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Roy Biggs II. Surviving her are children, Tracey (Nick) Reed, Bruce, Timothy (Vickie), and Michael Biggs all of Fremont; grandchildren, Rachel (Kyle) Stierwalt and Kaitlin Reed; great-granddaughter, Isabel Stierwalt; and a cousin that grew up with Ann as a sister, Sandra (Neil) Norkaitis. A Time of Gathering and Fellowship will be offered on Friday, May 29, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. A Graveside Service will be held at a later date. Contributions in Ann's memory can be made to the Sandusky County Humane Society or Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church.
