Jayne Ann Repp, 59, from Gibsonburg, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 29, 2015 after a strong and courageous fight against breast cancer. Jayne was born on August 9, 1955 in Napoleon, OH to the late Herbert and Loretta (Dachenhaus) Meyer. She grew up on the farm outside of Hamler, OH, the youngest of 4. She was a 1973 graduate of Patrick Henry High School and went on to receive her bachelor's and master's degrees from BGSU in 1976 and 1981. After graduation, Jayne began her teaching career. She taught at Van Wert School, but started her life's work at the School of Hope in 1977. First as a teacher, then as the principal, and later as the Director of Children's Services. Jayne touched the lives of many students, parents, and staff with her positive and energetic personality. Those same qualities are what made her such a fighter during these last 5 years. She received the John Philip Sousa Award in high school, was awarded the Special Education Teacher of the Year by NWO SERRC. She served on the Early Childhood Development Council, the Childhood and Family First Council, was on the Sandusky County Council for Retarded Persons and on the areas' Easter Seal Board. She helped develop Ohio's state alternate assessments. Jayne was on the Tiffin Ranger's Board. Jayne was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg. She helped run Sunday School, Kingdom Kids, Vacation Bible School, and served on the Church Council as the President. She kept her church and faith close to her heart every day. She will be remembered as a loving wife, a proud mother, and a faithful servant to the Lord. May we hold the sparkle in her eye and her spirit in our hearts as her legacy will live through all who met her. On June 4, 1988, Jayne married her soul mate Doug Repp at St. Stephens Church in Hamler, OH; he survives. Through their love, she leaves 3 strong and independent sons; Andrew Phillip Repp, Christopher Wesley Repp, and Daniel Jacob Repp. In addition to her husband and children, that will also mourn her loss are her brother, David (Phyllis) Meyer; sister, Lynette (Roger) Tietje; and several nieces and nephews; her special friends, Barbara Smola and Susan Timmons, and a multitude of other friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and infant sister, Nancy. Family and friends will be welcomed to the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 319 W. Madison St., Gibsonburg, OH 43431 on Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 1-3 p.m. & 5-7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 6, 2015, 11 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, where her body will lie in state one hour prior to the services.
