Sean Andrew Lutzmann, 27, of Oregon, OH and formerly of Gibsonburg was tragically killed in an automobile accident on Thursday, July 2, 2015. Sean was born on May 10, 1988 in Oregon, OH to Mark and Jackie (Kidd) Lutzmann of Gibsonburg. Sean was a 2006 graduate of Gibsonburg High School where he played football, participated in track and field and was active in drama and student government. After graduation he attended Bowling Green State University where he was a Senator in the Undergraduate Student Government, a writer for the BG News, active in many clubs and organizations and employed at WBGU-PBS. Sean graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and a minor in History in 2010. He was an advocate for social justice and an active member of the Democratic Party.Sean was currently pursuing a career as an Occupational Therapist and was a student at Owens Community College while taking his GRE and preparing for Graduate School. In addition to his parents, Sean is survived by his siblings: Shelby (Robert) Panilo, & their daughter, Aurora of Anchorage, AK ; Jonathan (Rebecca) Lutzmann, & their children Brooklynn and Jaxson of Bellville, OH; and Matthew Lutzmann of Gibsonburg, OH. Sean is also survived by his Grandparents: Edgar and Treasure Kidd, of Holland, OH and Bonnie Lutzmann, of Oregon, OH. Aunts: Sarah (Jerome) Lowe and their daughter Jessica, of Toledo, OH; Linda (Tom) Tillman and their children Christopher, Ian, Ben & Kaitlyn of Lorain, OH; Cynthia Lutzmann of Walbridge, OH; and Linda (Eric) Naujock and their daughter Emma, of Maumee, OH. Uncle: Edward (Leslie) Kidd and their children Edgar, Olivia & Tony, of Holland, OH. He was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Richard Lutzmann and special cousin, friend and mentor Eddie Lee Elliott, Sr. Sean also leaves behind several great aunts, great uncles and cousins in Ohio and Kentucky and many, many friends, companions and colleagues who were special to him, all of whom have fond and lasting memories. One of Sean's greatest gifts, and he had many, was to see the best in others and to trust in it. Sean had a rare capacity to embrace and engage people of all ages, creeds and backgrounds. He lived every day to make the world a better place and touched many lives in an effort to do it. He was genuine in his appreciation of a good debate and was cheerful, though fierce, in his arguing. He enjoyed a good book-or twenty- appreciated good hummus, guacamole and a nice glass of wine. The only thing Sean truly abhorred was apathy. He was devoted to his family- although he was continually frustrated by his mom's lack of a facebook page and his dad's refusal to get a cell phone! He broke the mold as an Uncle- just ask Rori, Brooklynn and Jaxson. He was excited to be welcoming a new nephew, Jameson, in a matter of weeks. He was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin who always challenged us to contribute more to our world in ways both big and small. There is a hole in the fabric of the world that will never go away, but by following Sean's example we will fill that hole with love and actions to make him proud. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 7, 4-8pm and Wednesday, July 8, 2-6 pm at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home, 319 W. Madison St; Gibsonburg, OH.
