Larry S. Rawson

Larry S. Rawson, 74, of Fremont passed on July 11, 2015 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on March 16, 1941 in Bonne Terre, MO to the late Elmer and Goldie (Whitter) Rawson. On February 14, 1981, Larry married his sweetheart Carol (Welling) Watson and she survives in Fremont. Larry worked for Fremont City Schools as a custodian for Fremont Ross High and more recently at Otis Elementary. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, golfing, and woodworking. Larry was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, and his sense of humor brought a smile to everyone that he met. He was a loving and devoted husband; kind and caring father, step-father and brother; and a faithful friend. Larry will be truly missed by his wife, Carol; children, Larry Jr. (Sandra) Rawson of Atlanta, GA, Paul (Joni) Rawson of Yucaipa, CA, Michael (Diane) Watson of Marion, OH, Julie Watson, Mark (Rhonda) Watson, Rick (Linda) Watson, Rob Watson all of Fremont; siblings, Robert (Ann) Rawson, Clifford (Faye) Rawson, Connie (Mike) Wilson, and Terry (Mary) Rawson; sister-in-law, Beverly Rawson; grandchildren, Chayse and Spencer Leonardo, Paul Jr. and Carissa Rawson, Megan, Alex (Katelyn), Jordan and Cory Watson; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Lillyan and Gabriel Ryerson; and many nieces and nephews including locally, Rick Rawson, Tammy Fisher, Cathy Polyak, Kevin Rawson and Sandy Rawson. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Michelle Leonardo; infant son, Anthony; and siblings, Donald, Homer, Kenneth and Edward. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont where a memorial service will be held following the visitation to beginning at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Otis Elementary School or to ProMedica Hospice of Memorial Hospital.
