Crispina A. Rodriguez, 89, of Gibsonburg, passed away on August 2, 2015 at the Hospice of Western Reserve, Cleveland. Born in Maxwell, TX on October 25, 1925, she was a daughter of Narciso and Consuelo (Baez) Avalos. Crispina retired from BGSU as a custodian. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. Crispina was married to Aniceto Rodriguez; he preceded her in death October 1985. She is survived by children, Antonia Rodriguez, Dora Rodriguez, Crispina Molina, Olga Ramirez, Ruben Rodriguez, Teresa Rodriguez, Roberta Garcia, and David Rodriguez; siblings, Tony Hernandez, Moises Hernandez, and Josefina Jaso. Also surviving are many many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, whom she considered God's precious jewels of her crown of life. Crispina is preceded in death by her parents; twin infants, Fidel & Rogelio Rodriguez; son, Arturo "Rey" Rodriguez; daughter, Esther Trevino; siblings, Anastacio Abalos, Apolinar Rodriguez, Elodia Garza, Epifano Avalos, Fidel Hernandez, and Lolita Avalos; and grandson, Marcos Casares. Family and friends are welcomed to the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 2-8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2015 at Triumph Foundation Church, Fremont. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Gibsonburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve of Cleveland.
