Jan W. Albert, age 61, of Fremont passed away unexpectedly his residence on Thursday, August 13, 2015. Born on February 28, 1954, he was a son of the late Arthur Albert and Joyce (Jinks) Albert-Estep. Jan was an Army veteran, serving from 1973 to 1979, where he received the National Defense Service Medal. Jan worked as a clerk for 21 years at the Post Office, until the onset of his sickness. He enjoyed moral mushroom hunting, fishing, and most recently, going metal detecting. Jan was a member of the Eagles. On July 13, 1988 he married Julia Booze, she survives him. Also surviving are sisters, Cecelia Ann Albert of Fremont and Laura Lee Albert of MO; cousin, Carl Albert of Toledo; and siblings-in-law, Janet Barnette, Clyde E. Booze, Dianna Wagner, John Booze, Rebecca Huffer, Katherine Booze, and Helen Booze. He is preceded in death by his nephew, Billy Adair, Jr.; parents-in-law, Margaret & Clyde E. Booze; and siblings-in-law, Margaret Nieset, Norman Booze, Danny Booze, and Jimmy Booze. A Memorial Service will be held at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 3 o'clock, with an hour of visitation beginning at 2 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Legion.
