David P. Winters of Fremont passed away at his home while surrounded by family on Friday, August 28, 2015. He was born on August 16, 1939 in Fremont to Richard and Bea (Tischler) Winters. David was a 1957 graduate of St. Joseph High School. He furthered his education, receiving his Dental Technician degree. David was an Army veteran serving his country in Vietnam. David married Marsha Waggoner in 1967 in Fremont at St. Joseph's Church and together they had four children. While raising their children David owned and operated Beverick & Winters Dental Lab and Winters Custom Gold Creations. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Fremont American Legion. David was known to enjoy golf, OSU football, reading and making jewelry. Surviving David is his wife, Marsha; sons, Matthew (Carol) Winters of Chamblee, GA, Christopher (Monique) Winters of Dunwood, GA, and Chad Winters of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, Devon, Jack, Addison and Brady Winters and Lucas and Logan Winters; and brother, George "Kip" (Mary Ann) Winters of Sacramento, CA. He is preceded in death by infant daughter, Jennifer who passed in 1977 and sister, Jacqueline Bundschuh. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 1st from 2-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. A Vigil will be said in the evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd at St. Joseph Catholic Church beginning at 10:30 a.m. Father Michael Zacharias will officiate, and interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Fremont American Legion and VFW posts. Memorial Contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, St. Joseph Catholic Church or to Hospice of ProMedica Memorial Hospital.
