Phyllis Eileen (Ferguson) Eberhardt, 90, of Fremont, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015 at the Berlin Grande Hotel, Berlin, OH. Born in Fremont on January 10, 1925, she was a daughter of Joseph Herbert and Hattie (Engler) Ferguson. Phyllis was a 1943 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. Following high school she attended Tiffin University. From there she became a civilian employee at Patterson Field Airbase AMC Headquarters, where she met her husband of 65 years, Charles L. Eberhardt, Sr. Phyllis returned to Fremont, and furthered her education at Vanguard Technical Institute becoming a graduate of 1971. She worked several places as a LPN, such as; the Fremont ProMedica Memorial Hospital, the Sandusky County Home, and Bethesda Care Center, where she retired. Phyllis was a member of Eastern Star for 48 years, and was a Past Matron and Past Grand Representative of Pennsylvania in Ohio. She enjoyed her career as a nurse, spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and crocheting. Phyllis was also a member of Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church, Fremont. Phyllis is survived by husband, Charles; children, Charlie Jr. (Kathleen) Eberhardt, Cindy (Rich) Roach of Strafford, MO, James (Rosalie) Eberhardt of Wellington, CO; Peggy Eberhardt of Fremont; and Lisa (Wade) Martin of Hinsdale, MT; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Harry, Howard, Richard, Beatrice, Herbert, Robert, Donald and Gary. Family and friends are welcomed to the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. A service will be held at 7 p.m. by the Eastern Star. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church, Fremont, where her body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont. Rev. Alan Brown will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eastern Star Home, 1451 Gambier Rd., Mt.
