Gibsonburg resident, Juan Ramon Perez, 66, passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg on September 21, 2015. He was born on July 2, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to Ramon and Damiana (Juarez) Perez. He married Irene Celestino at St. Michael's Church, Gibsonburg, and they remained happily married until his passing. He was a lead operator at the former Brush Wellman for 45 years. Surviving along with his wife, Irene are his children, Elizabeth (Joe) Sievert of Clyde, Ann Perez of Luckey, Maggie Perez of Fremont and Rachel Updike of Fremont; sisters, Carlota Sauceda of Ft. Myers, FL and Apolonia Ramirez of North Ft. Myers, FL; and 8 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Maria I. Perez and Damiana Dixon; and son-in-law, Shawn Updike. Juan was a member of St. Michael's Church in Gibsonburg. He loved walking his dog, Missy and fishing with his kids. He also enjoyed doing yard work and playing on several local pool leagues. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg where a Rosary will be said in the evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 26th,10:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Gibsonburg. Fr. Christopher Bazar will officiate and burial will follow at St. Michael's & Lawrence Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Sandusky County Humane Society or St. Michael's Catholic Church.
