Clara A. Roth, 92, formerly of Vine St. in Fremont, peacefully made her journey to heaven on Tues., Oct. 6, 2015 from Bethesda Care Center, Fremont. Born in Green Springs on July 21, 1923, she was a daughter of John and Ethel (Dukes) Painter. Clara graduated from Old Fort High School in 1941 and attended Terra Community College for some classes. She retired in 1998 from Saddleman's as a seamstress and also worked as a nurses's aide. Clara enjoyed cooking, reading, and sewing. She loved gardening and her red roses, and her family always took precedence; especially when it came to doating on her grandbabies. Clara was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Clara is survived by children, Richard Roth, Sr. of Fremont, Janet (Rick) Albaugh of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Barbara (John) Gormley of Fremont; grandchildren, Rich Roth, Jr. and Rusty (Susan Shedenhelm) Roth, all of Fremont, Jen (Nick) Young of Eastlake, OH, and A.J. Green of Gibsonburg; step-grandchildren, Dylan, Cailin, Calvin (Marissa), and Brandon Gormley; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandchild; and nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, David Roth; a stillborn sister; and siblings, Franklin Painter, Caroline Cheney, and Lucille Sousley. Family and friends are welcomed to the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont on Mon., Oct. 12, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tues., Oct. 13 with an hour of visitation being held prior to the start of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Union Cemetery, Old Fort. Friends and family are encouraged to wear red in honor of Clara. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or Bethesda Care Center Activities Department, Fremont.
