Andrew Klisz, 80, passed away on Tues., Oct. 13, 2015 at his Fremont residence surrounded by family. Born in Fremont on May 27, 1935, he was a son of Andrew and Kathryn (Socha) Klisz. Andrew graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School in 1953. He retired from Kelsey Hayes, Kingsway in April 1998, where he worked in maintenance. Andrew was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fremont, a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Andrew was a senior league golfer at Sycamore Golf Course in Fremont. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, was an avid Detroit Tigers and OSU Fan, and was known for his homemade wine. In May 1955, Andrew married Angela "Angie" Toeppe at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Millersville; she survives him. Also surviving are children, Andrew (Jane) Klisz III of Black Earth, WI, Alan (Cathy) Klisz of Hollis, NH, Amy (Robert) White of Fremont, and Ann Klisz of Cadillac, MI; grandchildren, Christie, Michael & Matthew Klisz, Jessica & Erick White, and Anthony & Nikki Urse; step-grandchildren, Michael & Kelsey King; and siblings, Sophia Kuzma, Joseph (Dorothy) Klisz, and Catherine (James) Kritzell, all of Fremont. Andrew is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Walter, Michael, John, and Casimir; and sisters, Mary Koller, Sister Ann Catherine Klisz, and Angela Kupka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Fremont on Fri., Oct. 16, 2015 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Michael Zacharias officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Fremont. After the Committal Service, there will be a Time for Family Fellowship and a meal at Anjulina's Catering and Banquet Hall, 2270 Hayes Ave, Fremont, OH 43420. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ProMedica Memorial Hospice, 430 S. Main St., Clyde, OH 43410, or to the donor's choice.
