Gibsonburg resident, Norma M. Habel, 91, died Monday morning, Oct. 19, 2015, at Bridge Hospice in Bowling Green. Born in Mar. 26, 1924 in Bradner, OH, Norma was a daughter Fred and Goldie (Bivens) Adkins. In 1941, Norma married Harold Vincent. Together they had two sons, Jack (Joan) Vincent of Gibsonburg and Danny (Vivian) Vincent of Fremont. Harold passed on Aug. 4, 1971. Norma then remarried Raymond Habel on June 25, 1972. He died June 9, 1981. Norma worked as a cook for the former Rollersville School and at the Helena and Gibsonburg Schools. She retired in 1978. She was also a member of the Gibsonburg American Legion Ladies' Auxiliary. In addition to her two sons, she is survived by 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and loving companion, Leeroy Riddle. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands; and siblings Elsworth, Ralph, Carl and Gladys Adkins and Mary Wollam, Helen Van Ness, Annabel Hansen, Harriet Sting and Freda Stump. Visitation with be Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Gibsonburg where Funeral Services will be noon, Friday, Oct 23. Rev. Phil Park-Thomas will officiate. Burial will be at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg. Memorial donations may be made to ProMedica Memorial Hospice or Bridge Hospice, Bowling Green.
