Barbara Jean Buhro

Barbara Jean Buhro, 89, of Fremont, passed away on Sat., Oct. 24, 2015 at Bethesda Care Center, Fremont. Born on Jan 30, 1926 in Cleveland, she was a daughter of Lewis Glode and Anna Edith (Chestnutwood) Clookie. Barbara graduated from Fremont Ross High School. She then married Harry E. Sears, whom precedes her in death. Together, they had six children; Arleta (Doug) Myers of Fremont, Jack (Janet) Sears of Fostoria, Mike (Sharon), Paula K., and Scott (Tina) Sears of Fremont, and Daniel (Celina) Sears of Huntsville, AL. Barbara later married Lester T. Buhro, whom also precedes her in death. Barbara is a member of the East Side Presbyterian Church, Fremont. She was involved in many church activities, was a member of the art club, and enjoyed knitting and spending time with her pets. Barbara is also survived by 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her two husbands; daughter, Paula K. Sears; and siblings, Woodrow Clookie, Frank Clookie, Jack Clookie, Helen Baumer, William Clookie, John Clookie, and Betty Zbinden. A Memorial Service will be held on Sat. Oct. 31, 12 p.m. at the East Side Presbyterian Church, Fremont, where a Time of Gathering will be from 10-12 p.m. Burial will be held at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the East Side Presbyterian Church, Fremont or the Sandusky County Humane Society.
