Sandra "Sandy" Hetrick, 61, of Lindsey, passed away on Mon, Oct. 26, 2015 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital, Toledo, surrounded by her family. She was born on Oct. 30, 1953 in Fostoria to Harold & Geraldine (Kerr) Craun. Sandy was raised by her mom and stepfather, Hurl Ritchendollar, on the family farm in Risingsun. She graduated from Lakota High School and the Vanguard Vocational School of Cosmetology in 1971. Sandy was the owner and operator of the In Boutique Beauty Shop in Fremont, until health complications made her retire in 2012, after 41 years. Sandy was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsey. She loved baking and cooking, helping those in need, lived for her family and enjoyed conversations with her many customers. On June 24, 1983, she married Mark Hetrick at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsey; he survives her. Together, they raised their two children, Thomas (Karen) Hetrick and Susanna Hetrick, all of Lindsey. Also surviving is granddaughter, Eleanor June "Ellie" Hetrick; her life-long friend, whom was like a sister, Ruth Ann Kiss, and many nieces and nephews. Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Kay Ann Craun and John Craun. A Memorial Service will be held on Sun., Nov. 1, 4p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsey, where the family will welcome friends beginning at 1 p.m. Pastor Travis Montgomery will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, the Lindsey Lions, or to the Lindsey Volunteer Fire Department.
