Roberto "Bob" B. Vallejo, Sr., 64, of Gibsonburg, passed away on Sat., Oct. 31, 2015 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital, Oregon. He was born in Toledo to Temporo and Guadalupe (Barrientos) Vallejo on Sept. 3, 1951. Bob was a 1970 graduate of Gibsonburg High School. He worked for Atlas Industries in Gibsonburg and Woodville, and later retired on April 1, 2014 from First Energy as a meter man specialist. Bob was a member of the Gibsonburg Area Pool League and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed pool, bowling, and playing cards; especially Texas Hold Em. Bob was a past member of Bettsville Volunteer Fire Department, Gibsonburg Volunteer Fire Department, and the Gibsonburg Police Department. He also enjoyed fishing and coaching baseball. Bob will be remembered for keeping score with rocks and his many jokes. On Aug. 12, 2005, he married Kathy Diane Fork, and she survives. Also surviving are children, Bobby (Missy) B. Vallejo, Jr. of Gibsonburg, Christopher M. Vallejo of Bellevue, Kelly A. Vallejo of Gibsonburg, Jessica (Shawn) N. Earl of Fostoria, and Ashley E. (Joseph) Irving of Tiffin; grandchildren, Jordan Vallejo, Brayden England, Hailey Trumbo, Anna Earl, Ryker Van Der Laar, and Christopher & Chelsea Halm; siblings, Temporo (Sandra) Vallejo, Jr. of Bradner, Norma (Robert) Vela of Gibsonburg, and Anita (Edmund) Rosenberger of Risingsun; and loving pets, Rocko, Nike and Reebok. Bob is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Norma Barrientos Vallejo. Family and friends will be welcomed on Wed., Nov. 4, 2015, 1 - 8 p.m., at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg where a Vigil will be held during the evening. The family will also receive friends for a viewing prior to mass at the funeral home on Thursday from 9 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thur., Nov. 5, 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Gibsonburg. Rev. Christopher Bazar will officiate. Burial will follow at Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Michael's Catholic Church, Gibsonburg.
