Mary Schank

Mary Schank, 82, of Fremont, passed away on Sun., Nov. 15, 2015 at the Toledo ProMedica Hospital. Born on Nov. 11, 1933 in Smithburg, MD, she was a daughter of Lester & Mary (Turner) Rutherford. Mary attended Fremont schools. Mary married Leo Schank, Sr. on Sept. 19, 1953; he survives her. Also surviving are children; Leo (Patty), Jr., Thomas (Kimberly), Nancy (Mark) Crispen, all of Fremont, Pam (John) Weller of Kansas, Karen Schank of Fremont; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and siblings, Shirley Miller, Thelma Kuyken, and Al (Barb) Rutherford, all of Fremont. She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers; and a sister. Visitation will be held at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont on Wed., Nov. 18, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home on Thur., Nov. 19 beginning at 12 p.m., with an hour of visitation beforehand. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the care of Mary's family.
