Sara Garza, 77, passed away at her Gibsonburg residence on Thurs., Dec. 10, 2015 surrounded by family. She was born on July 20, 1938 in Houston, TX to Trinidad and Nicolasa (Pena) Nuncio.
Sara married Santiago Garza on Sept. 29, 1956 at Our Lady of Lourdes, Genoa, OH; he preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 2013. Sara will be remembered for being a wonderful wife, mother and Nana; hosting family gatherings, spending time with others and making friends. She was a homemaker and previously worked at Atlas Industries and as a seamstress working out of her home. Sara enjoyed reading books, crafting, sewing, traveling, camping and dancing, tending to her flower garden and watching novelas. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Gibsonburg.
Surviving are children; Victor Garza of Fremont, Mary Ellen Garza of Gibsonburg, Julia (Jerry Harple, Jr.) Hernandez of Fremont, Antonio (Cathy) Garza of Burgoon, and Blanca (John) Rupp of Fremont; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Margaret (Luciano) Hernandez, Lupe Rodriquez and Christina Soliz, all of Pasadena, TX, Trinidad (Carmen) Nuncio, Jr., and Raynaldo (Rosie) Nuncio, all of Houston, TX.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Santiago; and siblings Senaida and Janie Nuncio. Family and friends will be welcomed on Tues, Dec. 15, 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg; where Funeral Services will be on Wed., 10:30 a.m. Rev. Chris Bazar will officiate. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery.
