Timothy Stover

Timothy "Tim" Stover, 68, passed away on Sat., Dec. 12, 2015 at his residence. Born on Nov. 10, 1947 in Attica, he was a son of the late Alvin & Mary (Shank) Stover.

Tim graduated from Fremont Ross High in 1966. He worked as a mechanic and was the owner & operator of  Stover's Garage until his retirement in 2001. Tim enjoyed drag racing, stock car racing, and sprint car racing, and collecting Dale Earnhardt memorabilia. He sponsored and bowled on his bowling league team for many years. Tim was a member of the North Coast Vintage Oval Racers and the Fremont Speedway Hall of Fame.

Tim married Delores "Debbie" Bower on Nov. 18, 1967 at Sacred Heart Church, Fremont; she preceded him in death on March 24, 2015.

He is survived by children,  Landen Stover of Circleville, OH, Sherri Stover, and Gerri Benton, both of Fremont; siblings, Nicholas Stover of Middle River, MD, Jill Bauer of Fremont, and Jane Fawley of Fremont; grandchildren, Destinee, Tahj, Jurnee, Taqim, Aisha, and Jaren; and great-grandchildren, Teghan and Oliver.

Visitation will be held on Sat. Dec. 19, 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home; where Services will  begin at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Oakwood.   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the care of the family.
