Dale W. Keppler, age 78, passed away on Thur., Jan. 28, 2016 at his rural Gibsonburg residence. He was born on Dec. 15, 1937 in Perrysburg to Clyde & Beatrice (Sherman) Keppler.
Dale was a 1955 graduate of Gibsonburg High School, and then served in the National Guard. He worked at Andersons (formerly Crop & Soil) as an equipment operator until his retirement in 2002.
Dale was a faithful member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he sang in the choir since he was 16. He was a former church councilman, dartballer, and sang for the former V.V.V. choir. Dale often helped with funeral lunches. He loved playing board games and euchre with his friends.
On Aug. 30, 1970, Dale married Rhoda M. Lentz at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church; she survives him. Together, they were proud adoptive parents.
Also surviving is son, John (Terry) Keppler of MT; grandchildren; Christopher Jacobs, Teresa Keppler, and Timothy Keppler; and brother, Veryl Keppler of Gibsonburg.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Teresa Keppler.
Visitation will be Mon., Feb. 1st, 4-8 p.m., at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tues., Feb. 2, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg; where an additional hour of visitation will be held beforehand. Pastor Blair Miller will officiate.
Burial will be at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
