Delia V. Hernandez

Delia V. Hernandez went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Monday afternoon, Feb. 15th from Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky. She was born on Apr. 1st, 1933 in Harlingen, TX to Crisoforo & Elodia (Vela) Barrera.

Delia married the great Moises B. Hernandez on Oct. 4th, 1956. They have three children who survive; Virginia (Ernesto) Esparza, Victor (Nora) Hernandez, and Viola (Mark) Recny. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren,  Carlos Molina & Natalie Esparza; Veronica Guillen, Vanessa Friday, Victoria Black, & Nicolas Hernandez; and Mysti, Mark, & Marissa Recny; 10 great-grandchildren, Isaiah & Israel Molina, Joseph & Joshua Adkins, Makaela & Makaiya Finley, Aaliyah Friday, Vida Hernandez, Jasslene Guillen, Mark Isaac Recny, and one unborn; and brother, Fidel Barrera.

Delia is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Bertha Lopez and Amalia Campbell; brothers, Norbert and Albert Barrera.

Delia worked as an aide at Fremont Memorial Hospital and Countryside Nursing Home, Fremont. She later retired from ABC Inoac (formerly Aeroquip). She enjoyed being with her family, reading, dancing, traveling, and watching novelas.

Delia was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Visitation will be Thurs., Feb. 18th, 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m., at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont; where Funeral Services will be on Fri., Feb. 19th, 10 a.m. An additional hour of visitation will be held beforehand. Pastor Mark Recny will officiate. Private Burial will be at Hessville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
