Fannie Christine Engler, 99, of Fremont passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Rutherford House. She was born on February 18, 1917 in Fremont to George & Gertrude Martin.
On September 27, 1938 she married Richard Engler at Grace Lutheran Church in Fremont. Together, they raised their family, and started, owned and operated their businesses, Engler Hobby Shop and Engler Printing. Fannie was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Grace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed feeding and watching the birds and animals.
Surviving is Fannie's son, Jay and Barb Moran Engler of Fremont; granddaughter, Kelly (Rob) Aneshansel of Canal Fulton, OH; great-grandchildren, Audrey, Brady, Jessica and Luke Aneshansel; step grandchildren, Shay Moran of Kettering, OH, Shane (Amy) Moran of New Albany and Shannon (Dan) Hajec of Franklin, TN; and seven step great-grandchildren
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard who passed in 2003, and daughter-in-law, Marilyn Engler.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont beginning at 11:00 A.M. Certified Celebrant Maureen Pump will officiate.
Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or to Rutherford House Resident Care.
We, the Engler family, would like to personally thank the Rutherford House Staff, Hospice, and Geneva Melchor for all the love and excellent care given to Fannie Engler.
