Norma J. Stiger, 83, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at St. Vincent's Regional Heart Vascular Center, Toledo. She was born on August 24, 1932 in Fremont to Edwin & Lorena (Risch) Voelzke.
Norma graduated from Old Fort High School in 1951. She retired from the Fremont Eastside Kroger Deli Department. Norma was a girl scout and cub scout leader, a member of Old Fort Flames, and she taught Bible School and Sunday School at Old Fort United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, sewing, playing Bingo, and she took pride in the many miles she walked. For Norma, nothing compared to the time she shared with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In June 1953, Norma married Harry C. Stiger, Jr.; they later divorced in 1977.
Norma is survived by children, Michael Stiger of Green Springs, Dena (Thomas) Hull of Tiffin, and Cynthia (Jeffrey) Schuller of Monroeville; siblings, Robert Voelzke, Janet (Mutt) Keim, Ginny (Joe) Bender, and David (Linda) Voelzke; grandchildren, Jeffrey Schuller, Alexander (Deanna) Schuller, Ryan (April) Hull, Aaron Hull, Angela Hull, and Tyler (Acacia) Hull; and great-grandchildren, Rachelle & Brayden Schuller and Brock, Cale, Addison, Carson, Wyatt, and Reid Hull
Norma is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marilyn Binkley; sister-in-law, Louise Voelzke; and infant sister, Alice Kay Voelzke.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be on Friday, July 15, 2016 at the funeral home beginning at 11 a.m., with an hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow at Pleasant Union Cemetery, Old Fort.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of donor's choice.
