Fremont resident, Kenneth C. Binder, 76, died Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at Valley View Healthcare Center. He was born on July 26, 1940 in Fremont to Leopold and Kathryn (Jaqua) Binder.
Kenny attended St. Joseph High School and received his GED while in the US Air Force in 1959. He served in the Air Force until he was honorably discharged in 1962. Kenny married Jenny Rose Bebow on June 29, 1963 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Fremont.
Kenny worked at the Fremont Foundry for 16 years. He retired in 2005 from Carbo Forge & Machining where he worked for 26 years as a supervisor in shipping and receiving.
Kenny was a lifetime member of the Fremont VFW and the Fremont Eagles, a member of the Fremont Moose, American Legion, Knights of Columbus and a former member of the Fremont Elks. He loved his family, enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley, was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and liked playing poker with the neighborhood guys.
Surviving is his wife, Jenny Rose; children, LeeAnn (Kevin) Baker of Genoa, OH, Tina (Chuck) Mitchell of Jonesboro, AR, Bobby (Dawn Johnson) Binder of Sandusky, OH and Randy (Jill Rollins) Binder of Fremont; grandchildren Kylee (Seth) Frasure, Nick Baker, Tanner Parish, Charles "Doop" Mitchell, III, Mason & Mackenzie Mitchell and Eryn Binder; great-grandsons Kollin & Konner Frasure; brother, Jerry (Dorothy) Binder of Austin, TX; sister-in-law Marion Binder of Millersville, OH; close family friend, Carol Binder; and beloved pet dog, Snookie.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Birdell Binder.
Visitation will be held at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont on Sunday August 7, 2016 from1-3p.m and 5-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Joseph Catholic Church on August 8, 2016 at10:30 a.m. . Rev. Michael Zacharias will officiate. Burial with Military Rites will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fremont.
Memorial contributions may be made to ProMedica Memorial Hospice or to the charity of the donor's choice.
