Scott Krotzer

October 3, 1942 — October 5, 2016

Scott K. Krotzer, 74, of Gibsonburg passed away unexpectedly on October 5, 2016. He was born October 3, 1942 in Fremont to Roland and Faye (Kuns) Krotzer.

Scott graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1960. He married Kathalene Irmen at the First English Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg on February 28, 1986. Scott was a lineman at Toledo Edison for 25 years before retiring on August 31, 1993. After retirement, he worked for the Village of Woodville and then as a janitor for Trinity United Methodist Church, Gibsonburg. He was a former member of Sandusky County Sportsmen’s Club and enjoyed hunting, trap shooting, camping and reading. Most of all, Scott loved spending time with his grandchildren, and he was filled with excitement knowing his first great-grandchild is expected in March.       

Surviving is his loving wife, Kathy; children, Michelle (Kenny) Shultz, Melissa (Bill) Halfhill, Angi Andres, Andy (Missy) Bauer, Randy Bauer, and Greg Bauer; grandchildren, Rylie (Ryan Graber) Halfhill, Stephanie Shultz, Alyssa Andres, Spencer Shultz, Sydney Halfhill, Emily Bauer, Lexi Andres, Cody Bauer, and Brayden Andres; mother-in-law, Esther Irman; and loyal companion, Nelly. Preceding him in death are his parents.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Eric Schwochow will officiate. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cherry Street Mission or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
