Fremont resident, Irma Linda Mata, 42, passed away in the presence of her loving family at home on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016.
Born on May 26, 1974, Irma was a daughter of Juan and Marta (Nino) Mata. Irma studied hard and obtained her GED thru Fremont Ross and Vanguard Vocational Schools. She worked as an inspector and repairer for the Woodbridge Corp. until the onset of her sickness. Irma dedicated her life as a single mother to her son, Marcos. She was a wonderful Mom and someone who had Faith in God and the Word of the Bible. She was artistic and will be deeply missed by the loved ones she leaves behind.
Surviving are her parents, Juan and Marta; son, Marcos A. Sarabia; siblings Laura (Pedro) Alvarez, Juan J. (Angel) Mata, Sara (Adrian) Minor, Angelica “Melisa” (Jimbo) Barnes, Gilberto (Leslie) Rojas, Jr., Stephanie (Jose) Adame, all of Fremont; many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Angelica M. Mata.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Oct. 13, 3-8 p.m., at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 900 North St., Fremont where Funeral Services will begin Friday, Oct. 14, 10:30 a.m. Rev. Elvin Gonzalez will officiate.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont.
