Lois Ann Weaver, 86, formerly of Kansas, OH, passed away at Pristine Senior Living, Fremont. She was born on May 10, 1930 in Gibsonburg to the late Lloyd and Mabel (Kille) Stiffler.
Lois was a 1948 Gibsonburg High School graduate. She worked in her younger years for Ohio Bell, Fremont before working in the dietary department at the Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria for 28 ½ years, retiring in 1999. On Dec. 1, 1956 at First Methodist Church, Fostoria she married Ralph H. “Bud” Weaver, and they shared 44 years of marriage until his passing on May 21, 2000.
She enjoyed visiting antique shows and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving is her son, John H. (Anna) Weaver of Columbus; grandchildren, Regena (David “Jeremy”) Irwin, John and Buddy Weaver; great-grandchildren, Braylee, Ryut & Caige Irwin; sister, Janet Linton; niece, Pam Lowe of Fremont; and many other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, “Bud”; brother, Donald Stiffler who passed away on February 24, 2016; and son, Tod Weaver who passed away on February 26, 2016.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Herman Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg where visitation will be held an hour before the service. Burial will follow at Quinshan Cemetery. Pastor Gary Click will officiate.
