Bob was very active in his retirement.  He purchased and developed property outside of Oak Harbor, the family named “The Retreat.”  From there and Gibsonburg, he hunted, fished, boated, gardened, golfed, woodworked and played on a mens’ pool league.  He also worked at a local funeral home.  All the while, he kept devoted to his family by hosting family reunions in Oak Harbor and to church, attending the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Port Clinton.

He left behind his wife of over 65 years, Mary; children Deborah (David Reynolds) Grissom of Moraine, OH, Dennis (Brenda) of Mishawaka, IN, Diane (Dale “Butch”) Noss of Gibsonburg,Theresa (Fred) Hilt of Gibsonburg, Douglas (Judy Bylicki) of Woodbridge, VA, Matthew (Donna) of Gibsonburg and Mark (Amanda) of Fremont; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
