Tiffin: Beatrice Agnes Parker, 90, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin. She was born on December 20, 1926 in Fremont to Wilmer and Mayme (Hoffman) Timmons. Beatrice attended Jackson Burgoon Schools.
On November 15, 1947, Beatrice married William Parker in Covington, KY. They shared 68 years of marriage until his passing on July 27, 2016.
Beatrice was a former member of Shiloh United Methodist Church, Helena. She always put her kids and grandkids first in her life. Bea loved spending her summers at her brother John’s campgrounds, mowing all the lots so no one had to mow their own. She loved every part of Christmas. Beatrice collected Santas and would bake cut out cookies to give away. She would even crochet all the kids afghans in their favorite color or sports team colors. She had a love for covered bridges which stemmed from her childhood, and she had said that her greatest adventure was taking a train to Washington state where she stayed to help her brother’s wife while he was in the military.
Surviving are children, William (Vicki) Parker, Jr. of Sycamore, Roger Parker, Sr. of Clyde, Robert J. (Cyndi) Parker, Sr. of Tampa, FL, Brenda McNutt of Fostoria, Deborah (Rich) Dickman of Clyde, Kimberly (Steve) O'Millian of Republic, and Mark Parker of Green Springs; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister, Rosalyn McCawley of Oregon, OH; brother-in-law, Doyle Philips, Sr. of Clyde; and sister-in-law, Gail Timmons.
In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by her grandchildren, Alan and Aiken; great-grandchild, Chesney; siblings, Homer (Mary) Timmons, Robert “Bud” (Marie) Timmons, Betty (Chet) Gardner, Norma (Ike) Ross, Marian (Clarence “Hap”) Heppner, Virginia “Pat” (Willie) Behnke, John (Helen) Timmons, Nancy Phillips, and Donald Timmons; and brother-in-law, Tony McCawley.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont from 1:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 a.m. where there will be an additional hour of visitation being held prior to the start of the service. Pastor Jim Stauffer will officiate, and burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont.
On both days, the family requests wearing Christmas apparel to support Bea’s love of Christmas.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gibsonburg Volunteer Fire Department.
