Gibsonburg resident Jeffrey J. Brubaker, 64, died Fri. Feb. 3, 2017 at the Bethesda Care Center, Fremont.
Born on Jan. 23, 1953, Jeffrey was one of six sons of Norman and Jean (Dillow) Brubaker.
Jeff was born with a handicap he coped with throughout his life. When he was young, he liked to be outside, running in the wind. He had a mischievous side, too, always keeping his family on their toes. He had the habits of tearing newspaper and wringing socks as his form of therapy. Though being disabled, unable to talk and bedbound for over the last 30 years, Jeff communicated and showed his Love through his smile, bright eyes and glances. He taught many of the importance of compassion and perseverance.
Surviving him is his mom, Jean; brothers Danny (Linda), Steven (Laurie), Scott (Vicki), Robert (Maria) and Nathan (Beth) Brubaker; and many nieces and nephews.
His father, Norman, precedes him in death.
Visitation will be held at Tues., Feb. 7, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg where Funeral Services will be Wed., Feb. 8 at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Max Ulderich will officiate.
Burial will be at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg.
