Former Fremont resident, Peggy Sue Harris, 72, of Toledo, went to be with the Lord on Sunday Mar. 12, 2017.
Peggy Sue was born in Fremont on Mar. 2, 1945, a daughter of Furnie and Josephine (Carter) Johnson. She graduated from Fremont Ross High School and began her working career at the former Peter Eckrich Plant in Fremont until its closure. She then moved on to being a truck operator for Enviro Corp of Toledo.
Peggy Sue was a member of St. James COGIC in Toledo and enjoyed learning and studying the Bible. She loved her family, cooking, being in her yard planting flowers and her dog, Taz. As a hobby, she had an interest in collecting dolls and coins.
She leaves behind her children, Traci (David) Scott and Kenneth Harris all of Toledo; grandchildren Whittney, Kenneth & Derek Harris and Jashawn, Lee & James Clayborne; step-mother, Dorothy Johnson; and brothers Alvin (Vernette) Johnson, Warren Daniels, and James Daniels.
She is reunited with those that passed before her: her parents; and her siblings, Marie Sewell, William, Charles Floyd Johnson.
Visitation will be on Friday, Mar. 17, 2017, 9-11 a.m., at The Church on 53 where Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m. Dr. William James Jr. with the Armory Church COGIC, Toledo will officiate.
Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont.
Memorial donations may be directed to her family.
