Marlene Fisher, 74, of Fremont, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 28, 2017 at ProMedica Memorial Hospital, Fremont, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 5, 1942 in Cleveland to John & Esther (Mudry) Pasko.
Marlene graduated from Columbian High School and then continued her education at Bowling Green State University where she received her Bachelors and Master degrees in Early Childhood Education. She went on to become a teacher at Atkinson School in Fremont.
Marlene loved to read. Anytime that you would see her, she had a book in her hands. She was a member of St. Joe’s, Golden Threads and was a volunteer at ProMedica Memorial Hospital along with the Hayes Center. Marlene enjoyed playing cards. But most of all, Marlene loved her family. She looked forward to spending time and making memories with her family and her grandkids.
On August 6, 1966, Marlene married Daniel Fisher in Cleveland; he survives. Also surviving are children Mark (Annette) Fisher of Fremont and Dan (Kelly) Fisher of Lindsey; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Fisher, Brenden Fisher, C.J. Fisher and Casey Fisher; and brothers, Dennis (Jean) Pasko of Melmore and Mike Pasko of Tiffin.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Karen Sue Fisher and brother, Jim Pasko.
It was Marlene’s wishes to have a celebration of life for her immediate family at a later date.
The family would like to give a special thank you from the bottom of their hearts to everyone at ProMedica Memorial Hospital and Hospice for all the care given to Marlene.
