Edna Driftmyer

Lifelong Gibsonburg resident, Edna L. Driftmyer, celebrated her 99th birthday on Thursday, October 5, 2017 here on earth and in heaven.

She was born on October 5, 1918, in Gibsonburg to Edward and Augusta (Follman) Driftmyer. Edna graduated in 1936 from Gibsonburg High School. For over 30 years, she worked as a waitress at Woolworth in Fremont, retiring in 1983.

Surviving Edna are several cousins including the Marian Liskai family and the Warren Follman family along with the residents and staff at Windsor Lane Healthcare Center whom had become like family. She is preceded in death by her sister, Florence Driftmyer.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at West Union Cemetery; Pastor Blair Miller will officiate.  Friends and family are welcomed to gather at the cemetery beginning at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg.
