Colleen “Midge” Thomasson, 84, longtime Woodville resident, died early Saturday morning, Oct. 7, 2017 at the Good Shephard Home in Fostoria.
Born in Rossford, Ohio on Aug. 31, 1933, Midge was a daughter of Lee and Naomi (Fortune) Miller. In addition to being a homemaker, Midge worked for the former Modine Manufacturing in Pemberville as a radiator core assembler. Midge was extremely proud to have obtained her GED while working at Modine. She retired in 1994, after working over 21 years.
Midge was an avid OSU Buckeye Football and NASCAR fan. She was also a former member of the Genoa Baptist Church.
Surviving are her children Gary of Woodville, Cristy Colflesh of Fostoria, Carl (Tammy) of Walbridge, Nikki Lopez of Gibsonburg, and Mary Thomasson of Shelby, NC; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and sisters Doris “Jean” (John) Majchszak and Darlene Miller all of Toledo.
She is preceded in death by her parents; children Brenda K. Davidson and Lee E. Slater; and siblings Lorena Murphy, Darlene Miller, Alan Miller and Rosevlynn Sampson; and former husband Marvin Thomasson.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Gibsonburg where Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 11:00 a.m. Rev. Donald Goodwin will officiate.
Burial will be at Westwood Cemetery, Woodville.
Donations may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
