Sandra K. Inks, 72 passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017 at her home. She was not surrounded by family or friends at the time of her death due to the big sale at Kohl’s.
Sandi was born during a blizzard in Fremont on December 31, 1944, to Edward F. and Maxine (Overmyer) Price. She graduated from Fremont Ross High School with the class of 1962 and from Bowling Green State University in 1966. She married Roger Inks on July 12, 1969 somewhere near Columbus, OH.
Sandra worked for 28 years as a librarian at Lutz Elementary School in Fremont. While at Lutz, Sandi was the choreographer of the Annual Lutz Staff Snow Dance. She was also president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer of the Ballville Chapter of the Millard Fillmore Society and curator of the Millard Fillmore Mobile Museum. Sandi’s love of writing inspired her to write her first book, “Fifty Years in My Kitchen: A Horror Story”.
She is survived by her husband, Roger of 48 odd years; two sons, Curt (Jennifer) of Green Springs and Craig (Selena) of Fremont; step-children, Michelle Lewis and Tom Inks both of Fremont; grandchildren, Brandon (Jennifer) Inks and Parker Inks all of Fremont; and step-grandchildren, Justin & Kolby Inks, and Kortney Potridge, Cameron Lewis, Megan Dolin & Daniel Dolin all of Fremont. Sandra is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and her friend and loving sister, Susan (Robert) Hughes of Flushing Michigan. Sandra loved her family and friends very much and appreciated their care and concern.
Family and friends will be welcomed to the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont on November 4, 2017 from 10-12 p.m. where a Memorial Service fitting of Sandra’s wishes will be held at 12:00 p.m.
At a date to be announced there will be a service where Sandi will be floated under the Ballville Bridge in a traditional Viking/Hollywood ceremony with a barrage of flaming arrows soaring overhead to ignite her craft, sending sparkles of love and remembrances into the night sky.
