William D. Forsyth, Jr., 70, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 at his residence. He was born on December 10, 1946 in Fremont to William D. & Marjorie (Travis) Forsyth, Sr.
Bill was a 1965 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and attended the engineering program at Kent State University. On May 24, 1997 he married Patricia (Myers) Ickes in Kentucky. They shared 20 years of loving marriage together.
Bill was a member of the Carpenter’s Union for 35 years. He was also a member of the American Legion, the Port Clinton VFW, Eagles, and Elks. In his spare time, he enjoyed building military models.
In addition to Patricia, also surviving is son William N. (Chris) Forsyth of Westlake, OH; step-children, Dawn (Brock) Kimmet, Richard Ickes, Jr., Charles (Michelle) Ickes, and Tonya (Brian) Good, all of Fremont; grandchildren, William and Andrew Forsyth; 7 step-grandchildren; 9 step-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Cindy (John) Rizzardi of Fremont and Debbie (Kenny Wright) Cascaden of KY.
He is proceeded in death by his parents; sister, Nancy Forsyth and 1 step-great-grandson.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Fremont Eagles Hall, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Memorial contributions in Bill’s memory may be made to the Sandusky County Humane Society.
