Karl V. Rogers

Karl V. Rogers (Lindsey) was born on July 17, 1932 to Edgar and Pearl (George) Rogers in Toledo, Ohio. He died at Valley View Healthcare Center on January 4, 2018. Karl moved to Lindsey, Ohio in 1946 and graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1950.  He married his high school sweetheart, Eileen Beeker, on November 4, 1951. She survives. They celebrated 66 wedding anniversaries.

Karl loved his family and his Savior Jesus Christ. He was a member of Lindsey Trinity United Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. He worked for Brush Beryllium. He was an avid woodworker.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen; daughters, Sharon Neifer and Karen (Stephen) Oberst, all of Lindsey; granddaughters, Rebecca (Jacob) Noftz of Leesburg, IN, and Kathryn (Tyler) Harriman of Plain City, OH; great-grandchildren, Elijah & Lucy Harriman and Eleanor, Beatrice & Caleb Noftz; sister-in-law, Nancy Rogers of Green Valley, AZ; and step sister-in-law, Margaret Smith of Fremont.

Karl was preceded by his parents; his sisters, Norma Knipp and June Koepke; twin brother, Keith Rogers; brother-in-law, Burdell Knipp; step sister-in-law, Claribel Smith; and step brother-in-law, Vernell Smith.

He was a member of the Brainard Masonic Lodge (32nd Degree Mason), the Zenobia Shrine (Roadrunners Million Mile Club and Chanters) and the Brush Breakfast Group.

The family would like to thank Valley View and Heartland Hospice for the excellent care they gave to Karl and his family during the last weeks of this life. His earthly body was donated to UTMC.

A Memorial Service will be held at Lindsey Trinity United Methodist Church on Sunday, January 14 at 1:30 p.m. The service will be officiated by Pastor Travis Montgomery.
