Janie Pearl Anderson, 75, of Helena passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, February 10, 2018. She was born on May 27, 1942 in Randolph, AL to Jesse and Naomi (Ray) Lawhorn.
On August 3, 1957 Janie married the love of her life, Alvin Anderson in LeGrange, GA. Together they shared 60 years of marriage full of love and happiness. In her spare time, she loved bird watching, sewing, crocheting, and quilting, even making everyone in her family a quilt with a special saying on it. But most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Surviving is her husband, Alvin Anderson; daughters, Virginia (David) Huff of Fremont and Donna (Jeffery) Jividen of Gibsonburg; grandchildren, Rachel (Aaron) Trask, Andrea (Tim) Jester, Heather Jividen, Megan (David) Carbajal, and Cassandra Jividen; 9 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Leona.
Janie is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Charles Buck Lawhorn, Russel, Carlton, Gordon, John William, Herman, Aron, Georgia Lee, Annie, Joe Evans, Lulamae, Ernest, Bill, Eldon, Denson, Kermit, Rose Lee, Eris, and Mary; and granddaughter, Michelle Forster.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Gibsonburg at 10 a.m. Pastor Max Ulderich will officiate. Burial will follow at Arcadia Memory Gardens, Arcadia.
Memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
