Jacquelyn “Jackie” Kay McClure, loving wife of Aaron McClure passed away at her Marblehead, OH home on Friday, Mar. 16, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Jackie was born on Aug. 2, 1966 in Fremont, OH to Connie (Fisher) and Douglas Henry. She graduated from Fremont Ross High School, Terra College and Tiffin University with a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting. On Mar. 14, 2005, she married her soulmate Aaron McClure in Las Vegas. He survives.
Jackie was the owner and operator of Birchard Lawn Care for 20 years. She had worked at Schutz in Perrysburg until she and Aaron took over ownership of Dar’s Dairy Delight in Marblehead. She was an Ohio native, but enjoyed wintering in Arizona. She loved travelling and exploring new places with her devoted husband. Together, they had seen Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon, Brice Canyon, Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Zion NP, and the sandy beaches of California, Myrtle Beach and Florida. She was an avid golfer, bowler, racing fan and an Ohio State Buckeye fan. Jackie was always proud of her flower beds and cherished her blooms. Spending time with her family and friends was her priority.
Surviving is her son, Cody Alan; daughter (BFF) Carlie Marie; and their father Gary Laird. Jackie loved being Granny to granddaughters Addison Lee and Maddilyn Kay Laird and their mother, Meghan Parsley; and Nena to grandsons, Cayden Alan and Chase Aaron Poole and their father, Cyle Poole.
Jackie is also survived by two brothers, Russ (Connie) and Paul (Tracy) Henry; Godmother, Mary Jo (JoJo) Ackerman; her mother-in-law, Darlene (Reinbolt) McClure; step father-in-law Edward “Tom” Darst of Arizona; brother-in-law George (Luci) McClure; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, cousins, friends, co-workers, employees, neighbors, loyal customers and beloved dog, Bella.
Jackie joins those in our memories, her parents, grandparents, and loyal dog of over 13 years, Raven.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Mar. 21, 2018, 2-7 p.m. at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 900 North St., Fremont where Funeral Services will begin at 7 p.m. Jackie’s aunt, Amy Getty, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Stein Hospice of Sandusky, the Sandusky County Cancer Care Fund or to the donor’s choice.
