Audrey Wyvonne (Doughty) Brush, 84, of Fremont was born on Nov. 22, 1933 and passed away on Mar. 29, 2018. Audrey was born in Bath, Maine to the late Thelma (Burleigh) Thompson and Walter Doughty. She graduated in 1951 from New Boston High School, NH and, later, married George H. Brush on April 14, 1954 on Lovers’ Lane in Kittery, Maine.
Audrey was a wonderful mother, wife, sister and GG. She loved her family and spending time with them was one of her greatest joys. Audrey was a member of Fremont Church of the Nazarene, loved Missions and served as their Missions Leader. Audrey’s hobbies for many years was reading her Bible and spending time in prayer for her family, sewing, dancing and music.
Audrey is survived by her children, George (Joanne) Brush, Jr. of Geneseo, IL, Cindie (Barney) Panfil of Kingsland, GA, Cherri (Dan) Mehlow of Fremont, Carol (Jim) Fawcett of Fremont, and Martha (John) Ritterbach of Fremont; sisters, JoAn Huseman of N. Fort Myers, FL, Esther Thompson of Rollinsford, NH, and Jane (Carl) Ross of Farmersville, TX; 24 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Audrey is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, George H. Brush, Sr.; step father, Charlie Thompson; daughters Esther Brush, Jeani Smola; and 2 grandchildren, Mariah Pancratz and Christian Brush; and daughter-in-law, Joanne Brush.
Visitation will be held at Fremont Church of the Nazarene, 1925 N. Fifth St., Fremont, OH on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, 10 a.m. – noon where Funeral Services will begin at noon. Rev. Dan Vickey & Rev. Amy Schlepp will officiate. Burial will be at Roose Cemetery, Oak Harbor at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Fremont Church of the Nazarene.
