Jane Beckley

Jane E. Beckley, 71, passed away at her Fremont home on May 30, 2018. She was born on November 20, 1946 in Fremont to Norma (Fisher) and James Aspacher.

After graduating from Bowling Green with her LD/SBH and Elementary Education degrees, Jane taught at Lakota, Gibsonburg, and Lutz Elementary. She was also a Faculty member at Terra State Community College. At the age of 15, she began giving private piano lessons. She was an accompanist for high school’s Solo and Ensemble, Veracious Voices of Victory and Terra Chorale Society. During her career, she played for Zion Lutheran Church, St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Shiloh United Methodist Church and was currently playing organ at First Presbyterian Church.

Jane enjoyed keeping her home immaculate inside and out and thoroughly enjoyed gardening. She also liked to crochet and do adult coloring books. Jane shared a loving bond with her dogs.

Jane is survived by her siblings, Kurtis (Brooke) Keller of MI, Dennis Keller, Kathleen (Dave) Blausey and Mark (Laura) Keller all of Gibsonburg; five nieces and one nephew; “great”-aunt of nine; and her four-legged companion, Duncan.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Beckley; son, Matthew Beckley; and parents, James Aspacher and Norma & Richard Keller.

Visitation will be on Monday, June 4, 2018, from 2-8 p.m., at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Funeral Services will be at Shiloh United Methodist Church, Helena, on Tuesday 11 a.m. There will also be an additional hour of visitation held at the church prior to the start of the service beginning at 10 a.m. Rev. John Ash will officiate, and burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Terra State College Foundation: Music Department or Police Academy or to Shiloh United Methodist Church.
