Robert “Bob” Sears II, 63, formerly of Fremont, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at his home in Coldwater, Michigan. He was born on October 26, 1954 in Parma to Robert & Dorothy (Goodrich) Sears.
Bob was a 1972 graduate of Mid Park High School and then he attended Cleveland State University. He worked as a Kroger Manager for more than 40 years until his retirement in 2014. Bob was a member of St. Casmir’s Church and the Knights of Columbus. Bob loved to go out and ride his Harley Davidson. He enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers. Bob retired to the cottage on the lake in Michigan where he enjoyed boating and fishing but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandkids and family.
Bob married Karla Parsell in Las Vegas in 2002; she survives. Also surviving is his daughter, Melinda Sears of Fostoria; step-children, Stephanie Sherman, Samantha Sauber and David Sauber Jr.; grandchildren, John, Crissy, Riley, Xzaviour, Taylor, Cecilia, DaMonee, and Montavious; great-grandchild, Emerson; and brother, James (Shelia) Sears.
He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Rosemary Sears; daughter, Melanie Sears; and brother, William Sears.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 a.m. where there will be an additional hour of visitation being held prior to the start of the service. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
