Shirley Garner

Gibsonburg resident, Shirley A. Garner, 71, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018 at the ProMedica Memorial Hospital, Fremont.

Born on September 1, 1946 in Fremont, Shirley was one of two children of Donald and Catherine (Szanca) Garner.  She graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School, Fremont, in 1965 and was current member of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Gibsonburg. Shirley worked at the former Troy Model Laundry Service in Fremont.  She will be remembered for her love of animals, especially her pet dogs.

She is survived by her brother, Donald Garner; and niece Shari Garner.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside Services will be offered on Thursday, July 26, 2018, 11 a.m., at  St. Lawrence & St. Michael Cemetery, Gibsonburg.  Fr. Scott Woods will officiate.

Memorials may be made to St. Michael’s Catholic Church or to the Sandusky County Humane Society.
